Gustav Mahler Mosaic

The Attersee and its unique surroundings have always been a magnet for artists of all kinds. Two important personalities who are connected to Steinbach am Attersee in a very special way are represented in the municipal centre of Steinbach.

The "Gustav Mahler Dyptichon" was created by the famous Austrian Artist Christian Ludwig Attersee.

The pianist and composer Friedrich Gulda lived and worked in Weißenbach (part of Steinbach) am Attersee from 1962 to 2000 and found his last resting place in the cemetery of Steinbach.
